The Luberon wines

Set slightly apart from the Rhône Valley, the Luberon region enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate. Over the years, the region has preserved its cultural and natural heritage. Vines have thrived here since antiquity and dominate the unspoilt natural environment.

Coteaux D'Aix-en-Provence

These vines are the most westerly of the Provence wines. The appellation extends from the Durance river to the Mediterranean and from the lower Rhône valley in the west to the Sainte-Victoire mountain in the east. The climate is marked by the Mistral, a cold dry prevailing northern wind.

Cotes de Provence Sainte Victoire

Located west of the Côtes de Provence area, just east of Aix-en-Provence, Sainte-Victoire is named after the Montagne Sainte-Victoire. The vineyards are spread between Châteauneuf-le-Rouge, Puyloubier, Rousset & Trets. Puyloublier's vines are actually located on the slopes of the Montagne.

Cassis wine region

Cassis, a small coastal village is also a small wine-producing area created in 1936, the Cassis appellation is renowned for its white wine although today rosé and red wines are also produced from about 200 hectares of vines, all within a mile or two of the sea, most of which is only sold locally.

Family owned estate of the southern Rhône

Here is a fine example of a family estate in the Southern Rhône Valley renowned for its elegant and subtly balanced wines for over 40 years. Meticulously crafted, sustainable production of wines in Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Cairanne, Rasteau, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Three distinct family estates of the Rhône valley

The winemaking tradition of the Brunel family goes back to the 17th century. Gaston Brunel, a famous négociant, acquired the Château in Châteauneuf du Pape in 1945. and nearby Lirac classified as a « Cru » since 1947, the appellation produces fine and fruity reds as well as whites & rose.

Creating the first Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée

In 1890 Hippolyte Bernard Le Saint took over the reins of this 34-hectare property to expand it and improve its structure. He commissioned building the Louis XIII style château increased the size to 17 hectares an ambitious decision at the time. Today this winemaker is central to the entire story.

Imagine the wines of tomorrow

The winemakers talent each new vintage is guided by their meticulous efforts, driven by passion for the land and the fruit. Enlightened by the past, looking towards the future with respect for nature on a quest for purity. This philosophy adapted to the possibilities of each wine region.
