Tour summary
This is a great day out for lovers of fine wine and looking to discover the unique Mont Sainte Victoire wine region. Leaving Aix-en-Provence, we head south through the national park - Mont St Victoire, a symbol of Provence rises over 1000 meters behind the rolling landscape and vineyards close to the historic Provençal village of Puyloubier. First a visit to Château de la Galliniere and learn about the production and an opportunity to taste some of their finest wines. On our way, we stop off for a visit to Domaine de St Ser, a smaller unique bio-diversity wine producer. The vineyard is at the highest point sitting against the steep backdrop of the Mountain with its intense sunshine and dry arid mediterranean climate. A pause for lunch on the village square next to the fountain before our third and final wine tasting experience of the day - Domaine Terre de Mistral that produces more rustic wines and olive oil.
Tour itinerary
We will arrive to collect you from your hotel, chambre d'hôte, villa or apartment.
We leave by car first to Château de la Galliniere winery for a visit & tasting and a chance to absorb the atmosphere of this award winning vineyard. Then a leisurely drive across the south face of Mount St Victoire. The drive is exceptional as we then drive onto our second vineyard - Domaine de St Ser, a bio-diversity wine maker. Next drive to the village of Puyloubier, time to stop for a leisurely lunch in the village square or a nearby village restaurant.
Afterwards time to explore before we depart for our third vineyard, Domaine Terre de Mistral, which offers a totally different variety of wines, an excellent shop selling a range of local produce and their own olive oil. (This tour is available as a shore excursion from the Port of Marseille, adapted to fit the ship's schedule) From here return to your hotel or villa.

The total duration of the tour is 8 hours, assuming pick-up in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille or Avignon. There is a scheduled break for lunch, price not included.
